In this unit, we were in groups and made our own raps together. We listened to 4 artists to gather ideas. When we made the raps, we had to make sure the timing was right, tempo and dynamics. I enjoyed this music lesson because we had the chance to perform it. My favourite artist was Anna Meredith and Shiva Feshareki. This was because I liked the beat of both songs. What I would like to improve was my timing and focus.

We watched a few videos to help us think of rap lines and etc. During the rap we tried to think of rhyming lines so it became more better music wise. We had to be very careful with timing and dynamics making sure what we rapped made sense. We were considerate of each others ideas which made a good mix within the rap. I enjoyed making the rap the process was frustrating and hard at certain parts but we worked our way through. Although we didn’t make a lot of progress as in many verses but we made good quality verses that made sense. If we did the rap again improvements I would’ve made will likely be to be in sync and be careful with dynamics and listening to each other in stead of processing to speed ahead.

I enjoyed making raps. Me and my group discovered that the beat was a bit fast and it really helped for our rap.We made our own verse and we worked on the chorus that we done twice. Our lyrics was all about our personality and our favourite hobbies.We didn’t had rhyming words or word in my verse.The timing worked well for the lyrics and rhythm also for the beat. My favourite thing I liked it was that my group chose the right melody while I wasn’t in to try out some melody’s. If we do it next time we will probably improve it by make it more rhyming and to project our voice.We also needed more structure and dynamics I think so.But at least we finished ours and it sounds really great.Some lyrics of mine that one of the members of my group , tried to improve with mine but some lines didn’t really make sense.We had also got good timing which was absolutely amazing.The tempo wasn’t that great but it was still good. So what we have learnt is the tempo of the song or rap and the timing, we learnt the timing because we will know when to start and no one will start early and it will sound good ,we also chose our beat and see if it was the right one for our rap we have had a great time

I learned in music and me is that we listened to different music and started to think about how was the dynamics and melody and timing and we did a rap in our groups and we were thinking about our timing and we picked our beat and started making our lyrics and what we liked doing in our rap then we started rapping with the beat and the tempo was a little bit fast and we tried our best and we managed to rap it and the lessons were fun and I enjoyed it and I wish we could do more music about rap and make more rap of our own

In our music unit (Music And Me), we created a rap about ‘It’s Good to Be Me’. When we looked at the female artists, my favourite singer was Anna Meredith because of of the beat and pitch.

When we started creating our own raps my group and I had a hard time coming up with rhyming words and fitting our lyrics to the beat. We learnt that we needed diction however remove some syllables and not use good grammar as this will fit into the music better.

If there was one thing that I could change is that I would like to work on the timing and singing in-sync, as this would’ve made a huge difference.

Overall I really enjoyed this unit and enjoyed making the lyrics!

I enjoyed our music lesson. We made a rap in groups and we performed it. We chose our beat and worked on dynamics. Our group tried to make the chorus in sync and we worked on our syllables. We chose the third beat because we thought it would suit all of us. We used diction and we listened to how loud the other groups were and they were are in sync. Next time we could make sure we were louder. We listened to some composers such as: Anna Meredith, Eska Mtungwazi, Shiva Feshareki and Afrodeutchshe. We learnt about how they were really scared to step out of the comfort zone and they all loved music.

While we were rapping we thought about how we were going to time the rap, we thought how we were going to fit the lyrics to the beat, we were inspired by the 4 artists Shiva Feshareki, Eska Mtungwasi, Afrodeutsche and Anna Meredith. We removed syllables to make the lyrics fit .

I really liked this term for music as we worked on a rap where we all had to think about rhythm and lyrics. My group did a rap about things we had in common like sports and games. In our group we were thinking about rhyming, beat and we had to be in sync. I also like all the different types of music like electronic music which at first sounded bad but when I heard it some more I started to like it.

I had loads of fun in the rap unit as we had to work together although writing lyrics was a bit hard.As when we were righting it the lyrics had to be in beat but in the end we had good lyrics.We learnt about a few artists including Shiva Feshareki, Eska Mtungwazi , Afrodeutsche and Anna Meredith.We had to make sure we were in sync, the timing was right and the dynamics.What I would like to improve next time is timing.But over all I enjoyed this unit

In music last week, we composed raps. It was really fun, but a bit stressful. This is because when we were trying to make up lines, there was a lot of noise around us and we couldn’t think. Also, it was quite hard to find rhyming words, but in the end, we done it. But because we got to perform it, we found it fun.

Except from the raps, we learnt about artists that are mostly unheard of, including Anna Meredith, Afrodeutsuche, Eska Mtungwazi and Shiva Feshareki. My favourite composer was Afrodeutsuche. This is because I liked the pitch of her voice, there wasn’t much going on in the background, and the tempo was perfect. But overall, I loved our music sessions.

What I liked about are music topic is that in groups we rapped and we needed to make are lyrics and have diction while we rap.My groups rap had a fast tempo and it was quite hard to rap in-syne also are beat was perfect for are lyrics and sounded amazing.Although are final performance was not the best in-syne it was still good and we put the effort into the rap.Lastly we looked at 4 female artists and took evidence from there raps

In music we created our own rap in groups what we thought about was our diction and how clear we say our raps and we chose the beat to the song and the tempo of the beat and for our music we learnt about four people. One of the four was Anna Meredith was a composer and performed electronic and acoustic music .We also learnt about a person called Afrodeutsche she was a DJ based in Manchester .Someone called Eska Mtungwazi she was a singer and songwriter and a multi instrumentalist . Someone called shiva Feshareki she was a turntable and composer of Iranian descent who work with orchestra.

In this music lesson we have learnt about 4 different artists to help us make our own raps in groups together. Although some moments of the process was hard we kept strong and didn’t give up. We had to be very carful with the dynamics, tempo and syllables so that the lyrics fit in quite well. It was really fun because in the end we got to perform it. There was some difficulties when making the lyrics but overall I loved the session.

What I liked about music is the topic that was based on rapping and we got to work hard in our groups such as making up lyrics practicing the beat and trying to rhyme it all up. Even though are last performance wasn’t great we still worked hard and done our best to make a rap. And we listened to the 4 artists that helped us get a solid idea.

In music we learnt about dynamics, tempo, rhythm and beat. I loved doing the music because we all made our own raps. Some artists we learnt about in class were Shiva Feshareki, Eska Mtungwazi, Afrodeutsche and Anna Meredith. What I would like to improve in music is the dynamics and tempo. When we performed, I think we could be a bit louder and we needed to stay in sync. We also watched some videos to help us with the rap . Some videos gave us a trick about rhyming words to make the rap. It was a lot of fun and I really wish we could all do it again. Another thing we can improve is the timing when we were practising. What I also like about doing the rap was picking the beat.

In our groups we had made raps inspired by the theme Music in me . At the start we had noticed that the lyrics was good but it didn’t go in rhythm with the beat .Also we had to work on our diction because the words we wanted to say were very good but when we had to put it to our beat the line would be to long to say for timing during our rap .Another thing was that some people were going to fast so we also had to work on being in-sync while doing our rap .In our groups we looked at some female artists in music making such as Eska mtungwazi and Shiva Feshareki as we listened to their great beats ad songs . If I had to improve something in our group it would be to think about more lyrics and to be more in-sync with each other .

In these music sessions, we learnt about the four British female contemporary artists: Shiva, Eska, Afrodeutsche, and Anna, who created their own music. Then, as a group with friends, we made our raps and created our own lyrics, after choosing the type of beat, thinking about the rhythm, timing and tempo. Together, we thought about the dynamics. However, the most challenging thing about making the song is about creating the lyrics, since we wanted to create diction, rhyme and structure the syllable. In my opinion, we did great, although if there was more time, we could have improved our rap by adding more lyrics in or practising it even more. I really enjoyed creating our rap.

During music, my group and I were creating raps.

Throughout this unit we learnt how to focus and how to stay in sync.We had to also work on our timing and the structure of our rap.We learnt about for artists, named Shiva Feshariki,Eska Mtungwazi ,Afrodeutsche and Anna Meredith .

Out of these four artists my personal favourite was Anna Meredith and Afrodeutsche. I enjoyed this lesson as it allowed me to create a stronger relationship between my friends and I , it boosted my confidence and overall it helped me expand my knowledge and understanding of music in general.

In our music lesson, we were rapping. Our rap was called ‘it’s good to be me’ and doing our rap was very fun; however we also had to focus on the beat and lyrics. This rap also had to include a lot of concentration, because sometimes we had to talk in sync and sometimes out of sync.

Also, in this lesson we went into the composers, discovering different tempos and textures, which use a variety of instruments. These composers were called Shiva Feshareki, Eska Mtungwazi, Afrodeutsche, and Anna Meridith. We learnt a lot from these people, and used their music to compose our own raps.

Ultimately, I found this music lesson really helpful and educational because we could boost our creativity with our raps and in class.

When I did the raping I felt very nervous when I went in the front and I’m sure that it wasn’t just me, I’m sure everyone and I did mess up a bit but it ok .Me and my group worked very hard and the others that did rapping. We did a bit of dancing in the front too. For me I think that my group was going a bit too fast, yeah I know it’s raping but there we’re going too fast most of the people couldn’t understand what we were saying but it was ok.
