He eventually catches her when she leaves behind a slipper after attempting to escape before anyone notices it is her. They later confirm it is her who is the girl in the green dress who always dances with the king, and the king asks her to marry him. The Italian version portraits her as a simple young lady with a family who loves her, while our version is portraits her family as mean and disliking of her. Her dress color is different because of the attraction of color. His name was Strong Wind. He had the power to become invisible, which helped him toil with his enemies without them ever knowing. He worked long and hard to find a truthful wife, but it took a very long time. His sister would bring interested suitors along the bay to watch him walk home from work, and asked them all the same question, do you see him? They would all lie and say yes, even though he was still knowingly invisible to her, which proved them liars. Then came Cinderella. Her whole life she was stripped of clothing, burned on the face and mocked  by her sisters and the townspeople. Her sisters did this because they knew she was more beautiful then them and could't accept it. Her sisters tried to lie their way into getting Strong Wind, but like the others, failed. This time though, when Strong Wind's sister asked Cinderella if she saw him, she answered "no". This showed that she wasn't a liar, and then he showed himself to her. Cinderella was then given beautiful clothing, her long black hair, and rich ornaments. The setting is around where tribes of Native Americans inhabited before the US, Spain and France conquered most of North America. It is on the shores of the Atlantic, which sounds around New York or maybe even down to the Carolina's. This is different then the recurring castle and town setting we usually see. The look of Cinderella, along with everyone else, is very distinct. They don't have dresses or slippers, the have moccasins and fancy clothing, while there is a large emphasis towards the things Cinderella wears that accent her outfit.
