HBVR is located in Lot 66 & 67, Kampung Baru Badang, Pantai Cahaya Bulan (PCB), Kota Bharu, Kelantan. On the first day, I was briefed on HBVR by the manager, Wan Mohamed Farid Nasrique Bin Wan MD Suhaimi. Then, that manager was introduced the workers there and their positions to me. After that, I was assigned at the Food and Beverage. On my first day of work, there is a school doing camping activities there. So, I was assigned to food layout student and VVIP. I was a little bit nervous doing that because I need to make sure it was perfect especially at VVIP table. I’m still incharged at the Food and Beverage. I was asked to be the assistant Chef Abdullah in providing food from beginning to end for guests, especially for the students and teachers who came to make camp at the resort. At lunch time, I was required to take care of the students’ food section as well as help them take rice and side dishes. This is to prevent students from fighting over food and to prevent food shortages. Then, I was asked to wash the dishes and all the utensils used. Chef Abdullah has explaines what to be done. In the early morning, we need to providing breakfast for students and teachers such as ‘bihun goreng’ , sandwich, and ‘kuih-muih’. Then, we need to prepare for lunch hour. I was assigned to wash the chickens. I need to make sure it is very clean without and dirt. This is because Chef Abdullah is very concerned about cleanliness. After that, I was asked to peel onions. Firstly, I go to Chalet Teratai to do housekeeping. Before doing housekeeping, I was instructed first by Mr. Marzuki on how to clean and layout in the right of that chalet. I was asked to isolate fabricated such as blankets, pillow covers, sheets and towels that were collected during the process of housekeeping. Then, I was asked to put a new bed sheet in each bed. There are 13 chalets for housekeeping which is Chalet Teratai and Chalet Kiambang. After that, I go to homestay to do housekeeping. It was a bit tiring because of the larger homestay conditions than the chalets. I need to do proper well. Like the day before, I came to work from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. I was assigned to cleaning the hall like a broom and a floor mop. After that, I was asked to arrange chairs on a regular basis. Then I put cloth on each VIP chair to make it look neat. Me and a few other employees were asked to clean the hall because the next day there would be a guest renting the hall for the ceremony. It was very tiring but with high teamwork, we did very well. I need to make sure it is clean before employees start the main job. This is to prevent pollution in food. After that, I re-assigned to housekeeping section. On that day, I was assigned to do housekeeping at Block A and Block B. Out of the total available rooms, only 14 rooms need to do the housekeeping. I need to do well because Mr. Marzuki very important to be neat. I was assigned to cut the vegetables. One of them is a cucumber. Then I was entrusted by Chef Abdullah to make cucumber pickles in my own way. I’m thankful Chef Abdullah praised the cucumber pickle I made and said it was delicious. After that, I helped Chef Abdullah stir the chickens cooker while the chef put all the necessary ingredients into the chicken dish. On that day, I was assigned to sell. This is because, there are several schools that have activities in Home Beach Village Resort (HBVR) on that day. So, we took this opportunity to do small business to increase HBVR revenue sources. Some of the products we sell are ‘lokcing’, coconut water, mango water, gas water like coca-cola, pepsi, strawberry and more. The price per water is RM2 a cup while the ‘lokcing’ price is RM1 for four bars. Throughout the business activities, I was assisted by several other HBVR employees. I was told about the price for each homestay, chalets, rooms, activities was there like Paddle Boat, Kayaking, Fishing,  Camping and etc. HBVR also offers packages such as sports, BBQ, hall use, seminars and more. I came to work at 7:30 a.m. I feel very excited at the last day but the same time I feel sad. On my last day of work, there’s not much to do. I was authorizes by the manager, Mr. Farid to do whatever work I like. So, I decided to hold an interview with my manager, Mr. Farid for 30 minutes. After that, I went to help Mrs. Noraini do housekeeping on Block A and Block B. There are several rooms need to do housekeeping. Then, I need to sweep trash the whole area Block A and Block B. I have to keep it clean. Lastly, I’m so grateful to be able to work there. A lot of experience I had while working there. Although exhausting and challenging in every job I do, but I enjoy it. The owner, manager, and the workers was very good to me. Then treat me well.
