My learning goal is to discover what appeals to children in story books and what they find relatable, making the books enjoyable. I have decided on this goal as I have 100s of unfinished stories as I still - despite reading everyday - don't know what makes the vast majority of people (focussing mainly on youth) find interesting. Reading has been apart of my life for ages and to recreate some of my favourite memories would be amazing and a dream come true. In order to achieve this goal I am going to research through google, ELC surveys and by reading children's books what makes them so appealing in both and educational and entertaining sense. This book will open many opportunities for my future in writing and art. Writing has also been a passion of mine and to peruse it would be a huge personal goal accomplished. This learning goal is in relation to my product goal as they both involve the creation and research of children's entertainment in a written sense.

Product Goal:
My product goal is to design, write and ultimately create a children's book. This book will contain a simple, easy to understand storyline and plot, high quality illustrations, whilst also being relatable and entertaining for adults as well as children. Simple (and a low amount of) characters will allow for an easy to remember story. Educational elements must be subtle whilst also being effective. This will make the storybook appealing for adults making/giving it a larger target audience. To test the finished product: the story will be read to the ELC students at the Howard springs junior school.
