Pre-Reading activity: Create a calendar that you and your book club will follow to ensure that the reading of your book is done in 3 weeks. Starting April 8th and ending April 29th. Upload this calendar to your Padlet.

Reading Journal Prompts:
Reading journals will be collected every Friday of that week.

Week 1: Choose one character in your book and track their emotions/behaviors/and interactions with others in the novel. Keep tracking this throughout the novel in your reading journal.
Week 2: Write a letter to someone from the perspective of the main character. Make sure that it is relatable to the novel. You are going to want to be specific and detailed in your letter so that I am able to tell that you are writing from the main character's perspective.
Week 3: Create an alternate ending to your novel. Make sure your are writing as if you were the author not as a critic.

Once the last week of reading is complete we are going to begin working on our final activity to tie in all of our books together. Since each of our novels have a main character with something that makes them different than many books that we have read we are going to create super-sized baseball cards of the main characters and this is where we will discuss not only the book but also what makes your character unique. This activity will be completed with your book club and every person should be equally participating in the creation of your baseball card.
