A good citizen is normally the type of person who works hard, helps others and respects the law. When reading newspapers or listening to the radio or watching TV, often it is the activities of bad citizens that are publicized. Usually this means that crimes or poor behavior are reported because they make exciting news. However, we must remember that most people are very good citizens. 
 
 There is plenty of good news that could be reported every day but the TV and Radio presenters often ignore these stories.
 
 Good stories could be:
 
 The rescue of a family from a house fire.
 A local charity collecting money and buying equipment for a local hospital.
 A local community helping old age pensioners by doing their weekly shopping.
