Barack Obama similar to FDR is the voice of the "American spirit " during the hard times the Untied States were facing. He stands up to the problem and insures that the people will not be broken and they will be strong.

Explanation: Roosevelt believes that if the people stop being scared, the country can progress and move forwards. He believes that the people have nothing to be scared of except the feeling of being scared. He believes that if nobody is scared, then they have nothing to fear and that the people should do that so that they can move on and make America better.

Franklin D. Roosevelt starts off with telling the people that they have nothing to worry about, he tells them not to worry about the Great Depression. FDR was the voice that the Americans so desperately need during that time.
