However, i do believe things have guided me into making the decisions i have and will make. And that leads me to believe that, like my father, i will be a firefighter and, more importantly, help those who are in need. My father has been a volunteer firefighter for 25 years and is the district chief for station. She has really made me into the person I am today. She has a mental disability called "Angelman Syndrome" that inhibits her ability to communicate in all forms. Although she may not be able to talk, she has taught me many great lessons. Wrestling. Competing in the sport or even just practicing with my teammates makes me happy even on a bad day. As well, it was an omen, or a wake up call, that if i want something bad enough, i will have to work for it. Whether it be being a firefighter or just helping people in my free time, I think it was something I was always meant to do. Even as a young child, I did all I could to help people.
