Greetings fellow people of the performing arts!

Do you, like me, hear the music of the world, in the footsteps of men, in the whispers of the wind?

They are singing my name, Jill Abigail, for I am a child of the God above and of house Dobek, the family of courage and cunning

We fill our lives with the art of music, with singing of song and the strumming of strings

Residing in the village of Huntley, a land full of flora and fauna, risen up from the mud and sea and the clan of Talamore, known for its community of elders and children together as one

I was raised by my mother, Theresa, who could spin splendid stories and share them with me, tales of my ancestors and of secrets I never knew

My father, Mark, works as an apothecary, compiling crazy concoctions to heal any disease, with his magic that he has studied for years upon end

As he teaches me about this sorcery and of his spells, he also has taught me to find the power of music and words, the unknown strength of the siren’s song

I have grown to learn the power of one’s voice, the vicious yet valuable voice that every person has, but few tap into, and how it can be used for persuasion, power, good or evil

Although many underestimate the power of words, I also bring to you, my people, my physical talents: my control of the waters and of horses, along with my years of training in movement and grace

I give to you, my people of the arts, my confidence, my courage, my control, my compassion, and my cunning

Hear me now, stand with me, and I shall serve you now and forevermore

So Much Better - Legally Blonde

I really love this song for many reasons. I always feel the rise of emotions every time I listen to it, going from this sadness and how broken she feels at her boyfriend leaving her to the escalation of happiness. You can really feel the shift of emotions and it even reminds me of moments in my own life when I've had to move past rough relationships with others into something better for me to experience. That sort of painful start always gets to me, reminds me that life isn't always perfect. Then, when it gets to the happier, more upbeat rest of the song, I feel like I can move on and see the bright side of things. The message aside, I also like how it sounds musically. I love songs that start out slower and sadder and progress into more elated sounds. The harmonies and general group singing in the song is also well done. I like how everyone blends together in some parts. I also like the contrast when Elle sings all by herself, the difference between the group and solo sounds. Overall, I just generally enjoy this song for its words and sound.

I couldn't understand all the lyrics, but it seems like a sort of governmental battle, like people are deciding which way to run a country is best. They talk about the United States and different ideologies, and the song seemed almost like an argument. I really like how the song sounds, but I love all songs where the singers overlap each other. It just sounds so nice to me when they are singing over each other. I also liked the contrast between the woman's higher voice and the man's deeper voice near the beginning of the song. Even though it was hard to make out all the words people were singing over each other, the sounds of their voices were so calming and nice to listen to. I felt somehow both excited and at ease while listening to this song, which sounds weird given that it sounded that they were arguing, but their voices were all just so melodic. I enjoyed the song a lot, and I want to listen to it more on my own to better understand the story.

This song is very upbeat and fun with really good percussion. I also am a big fan of the harmonies and singing, they provide layers to the song. The solos are nice too because it allows each character to shine while also being accepted by the group when they sing together. This song makes me feel incredible because it brings back a lot of great memories for me. The first time I heard this song, I was in a summer theatre show, where they combined a bunch of Broadway songs into one story line. That show was one of the first moments when I realized how much I loved theatre and how much I enjoyed singing. My friends and I would dance and sing to it all the time then. I love it so much since it is so nostalgic for me, and it is also very well written with lyrics, instruments, and harmonies.

This song seems like a bittersweet love song. With lyrics like "the sweetness and the sorrow," it seems like a lovely, positive song with a hint of sadness. That sadness sort of fades for me as more people and instruments join in, making it seem happier. I also like the instruments and other voices. It is interesting how at first, there is only the girl singing and a piano playing, and then later there are more instruments and people doing harmonies and singing along. I like how the girl is first, she sings by herself, and you can always hear her above the crowd. It reminds me that this is her song, her moment, no matter how many other sounds are going on. I feel the power of her love above anyone else's. I feel her feelings and catch a glimpse of her story.

The instrumentals on this song are very jazzy and sound very nice. I like the dynamic changes and all the different instruments playing together. The woman who sings this song has a really powerful voice that is very smooth and sounds really good with the children's choir supporting her. They mix well together. The song makes me feel upbeat and happy with its generally fast paced feel. It reminds me of songs like "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl, where the main girl is singing proudly and loudly. It's very catchy with the repetition of the lyrics. I also enjoy the comedic talking in between the singing, it has a really nice older cabaret feel that I really like listening to.
