Support development opportunities - market analysis, patent advice etc. TTO provide support and manage portfolio pots of funding and then put the internal funding out for people to apply.

Useful to bring together all the funding schemes and sources so that academics can draw upon. As well as knowing what a given project has had (can cost a lot but not deliver or low cost but delivered a lot).

Critical for portfolio management to get access to information for ResearchFish.

Translational funding - resource to help but making it visible in the system. Mechanism for identifying people to peer review this work and their expertise. Need lots of people to review. Visibility of this will be useful. This requires repeat funding and continuous reporting. Tracking the story - links between all the funding.

Action: speak to Edinburgh about how they've integrated with Inteum.

Intium useful for IP management and CRM (keep as main tool). Use RIS to state its been patented and a number to Inteum (this will be good to join up and collaborate - getting people to talk to us). Academics can submit disclosures through RIS.
