The rain kissed my face,

At a slow and steady pace,

To rain there is no race, 

Just slow and steady,

But be ready,

For your heart may start to race,

Boom, 

The sky roars,

Birds sore,

It begins to pour,

More and more,

Pour and pour,

It dances on your umbrella, 

It prances on your roof,

It glances at lightning,

Yet,

The rain kisses you,

The rain created the dew,

The rain flew,

But then withdrew,

The rain once again steadies,

There is no race,

No boom,

No dances,

No prances,

No more glances,

And all together, 

The weather gets better,

But be a little upset,

You now cannot get,

Your sweet rain kisses,

Which now everyone misses.

From abuelo's beige cafe con leche,

I'm from sweet bananas with Dulce de Leche,

I'm from empanadas on sunday, but only the beef,

I'm from roads trips and fast food nights,

I'm from mashed potatoes, 

And from late night warm chocolate milk,

Lastly, abuela’s soup always brings me back home,

I'm from dad and uncle jokes,

From moms Marc anthony,

And stick with my mom’s burgundy henna,

I'm from bachata and salsa,

I’m from comforting from my mom and wishing to be a baby once more,

When My mother says “you are wise beyond your years” 

From her dark, baggy clothes that I hate so much,

I am from a blond chihuahuas barking while I try to sleep,

I am from hello kisses,

From sunday dinners,

Annual trips to argentina go back to when i was 4 years old,

And the road trips to florida will always be fun,

I am from summer pageants,

I am always a performer,

And just like anyone else, I love fun,

We musn’t forget the glee club time on mondays and wednesdays,

The earth is a dancer,

She has a dance crew of 8,

Venus , Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus,

She twirls quick,

Floating she seems,

Circling her sun is keen,

The earth can be strong,

if  you just don't treat her wrong,

And keep playing her ballet song,

As fragile as a ballerina,

As strong as she as long,

She is just right and ready to fight!
