Welcome to the Padlet for Other Tools! This is where you can post about a tool that isn't listed! Please post your name, grade level, and subject area of the lesson in the title portion of your post. Then, write a description of the activity you did using the tool. You may post a picture of your students doing the activity or an example of the final product. A link to a tutorial video on how to use the app would be helpful as well!

I can manipulate the document to guide my students through the lesson and also check for understanding by using it to exhibit a question for formative assessment.

Haarsager 2nd - Chatterpix

We used Chatterpix for a reading lesson about character traits and the kids loved it! It is super easy to use. Snap a picture first. I had them take a pic of the character's face in the text. Then draw a line where the mouth goes and record any audio. When you play it back, the face in the pic will start moving its mouth and say whatever you recorded. They were short videos , so it was easy to go back and watch them all for a quick check to see who understood character traits.

I used Screencastify for my students to create a video of themselves. This is a Google Extension, it is only for your laptops. This was super simple for them to download!
We were working on procedural text and summarizing. I had students read the text, How to Make Paper Hats, from curriculum. While reading they summarized each step. Once they finished, they then created a tutorial video of themselves creating their hats!
