I think the space race is an example of the competition during the Cold War that fueled technology advancement and this has only continued into the 21 c. But it has become more privatized and the new world order has become a privatized competition as well. I don’t think that we have a new world order but I do feel we are moving towards that.

We would see a lot less competition and a lot more cooperation. These nonaligned countries were a lot more apt to helping each other through trading and services than the USSR and USA aligned countries. There wouldn’t be this toxic attitude that one country has to be the best.

I do think that this minimizes that there are still certain countries with more power that “call the shots”, so to speak. There still exists empire, though in a different form. It seems hard to say there is a completely “new” world order.
