Hi everyone, my name is Kian Zayas Rivera, but I mostly go by Sasha! I’m currently in my final semester at Valencia, and I plan to transfer into an Anthropology program once I graduate. I’m Puerto Rican, but I’ve been living in Florida since I was around 10 years old, and I'll be moving to Illinois once I graduate as well.

My hobbies are pretty basic, mostly consisting of playing video games, watching movies/anime, and reading books. That said, I also enjoy playing guitar and writing poetry, and I spend a good amount of time doing both.

There’s a lot I hope to get out of this class. On the one hand, as an anthropology student, I’ve learned a lot about how our planet has impacted the way humanity has grown, so I’m excited to further learn about the particular properties of the Earth. On the other hand, I’m just sort of continuously amazed by the fact that we live on such an amazing planet, so I’m excited to learn out of pure fascination for the subject matter.

All in all, I’m excited to get to know all of you through reading your introductions, and I hope everyone has a great start to their semester and just a great semester in general!
