Brooke looks at me for confirmation and I shrug.

The woman motions us to the door. “Look at the sky. Sure, there’s a half-moon tonight that we can see, but the full moon is always there,” she tells us.  “We see the moon because as it revolves around the Earth, only the part facing the sun is visible to us.” The woman stops talking and takes a long look at us. “Most times we only see part of a thing, but there’s always more to see, more to know.” She winks at me, says, “You understand what I’m saying?” The woman is saying this because even though raven and Brooke are technically half sisters they still should act like real sisters to each other. The example the old lady gave about the moon really put into perspective the point that she is trying to make.
