           Along with planning an event, an online portfolio and physical portfolio will be made to show all the work that was put into the planning as a youth minister rather than an event planner.

Throughout those meetings we originally (in october) had decided on a feed the homeless service project. I formatted an entire plan of how I would complete this task but ran into a few complications that caused my project to fall apart. The date decided best for the event was February 21st as that was the Wednesday during a school break. My church offered me the youth room for this night, so this is where the night was planned to be held.
        The Planning Consisted of:
1. Snacks
    -Jello Cup
    - Goldfish
    -  Chocolate Dipped Pretzels
    - Brownies
    - Popcorn 
I selected these snacks because they all had easy prep, as I was the one who would be preparing and providing them, and weren’t an extreme mess.
2. Music
    - A playlist of 16 songs related to the theme
    - Song Books with lyrics to each song was provided to each guest
    -Song Suggestion Box
3. Decor
     - String Lights hung up on the perimeter of the room
     - Light up signs
     - Pastel and bright colors to give off an enjoyable vibe along with a repeated floral theme
      - Comfy chairs and blankets to maximize comfort of the guests 
4. Activities
      -bible jeopardy 
      - prayer jars
      - guided meditation readings 
5. Promotions for the event
      -Flyers posted around the church and school
      - an online flyer sent out in a mass text
      - instagram and twitter posts 
      - Speaking to youth groups at the church and inviting them to the event

6:00-7:00/ set up and prep food
7:00-7:15/ allow the teens to arrive and give them a little bit of time to get settled/ mingle with one another and get snacks
7:15-7:20/ opening prayer and introduction
7:20-7:35/ play the first two songs and pass out slips of paper
7:35-7:45/ introduce the prayer jars and prayer activity and give the teens time to complete the activity while the music continues to play in the background
7:45-8:00/ play bible jeopardy
8:00-8:10/ have all the teens settle down and have the meditation read out
8:10-8:15/ reflection from meditation
8:15-8:30/ worship songs
8:30-8:40/ conclude the prayer jars
8:40-9:00/ worship songs
9:00-9:05/ closing prayer and thanking all the teens for coming
9:05-9:30/ clean-up
