Thoughts- Page 6 "I wanted to be a prophet.." This piece of how she thinks of her religion shows that she is very innocent and her view of religion is very high.

Relationships- Page 36 "So I wrote the letters for her. One each week for six months.." This page shows how close she is to her maid Mehri and how she was willing to write and help Mehri find love knowing that she couldn't write or read but that she still deserved a fair chance at her love life and her life in general.

on page 9 Marjane talks about wanting to be a prophet when she's older to change what happens in society with the social hierarchy system and unfairness. Marjane is close to her maid and her grandmother. Some conflicts she has with her maid is they went to a demonstration together when they weren't supposed to and got in trouble.

in this picture I believe this tells us that the mother is an over thinker. She thinks a lot about what people might say due to the post of her in the protest so she changed her hair to hope that people wont notice her and covered up for a long time.

The father was a very wealthy man, he owned a cadallac and he was very loved by his family. However with his maid he didn't have very good intentions because he believed that everyone should marry and be with their own social class. On page 36 when the father finds out that Mehri their maid was talking to the neighbors son he went to their house to tell them she wasn't actually their daughter however she was their maid, ruining her chances at love with him. He's a family man but he doesn't agree with certain ideas the government has taking it out on Mehri and others possibly his own daughter.

marjane's mother is supportive and strict, she's supportive because when marjane said that she wanted to be a doctor even though she was lying marjane's mother was still supportive to her. she was also strict with marjane because she wanted to protect her from the demonstrations since marjane said she wanted to go too. she is close with marjane's father since they look like they have a nice relationship and she thinks about when her and marjane's father goes to these demonstration and gets worried since there are a lot of people dying at the time.

-In this panel on page 8, The teacher calls in her mom and dad because Marjane wants to be a prophet, and so she tells the mom about what Marjane wants to be and the mom defends her daughter by saying "What about it?" later the teacher asks if this doesn't worry her dad says that it doesn't, basically I believe that Marjanes parents will let marjane be whatever she wants because at the end of the day it is her future.

Shes close to God. She would talk to him every night or every time she would have a problem. I think she talked to him because he would be the only person who would listen to her and her thoughts, he would also give her good opinions. The more advice she gets from God the stronger her beliefs are about what she wants to learn about in life.

What could be getting in her way is her parents and how they don't really listen to her and when they do its like they back her down or shut her own with her ideas since she said she wanted to be a prophet and its like they shut her down and started being concerned about her decisions.
