Ethnicity- The ancestry or natural origin of a person.
Equity- The value placed in an individual, as well as the values one holds.
Social class- A socio-political scheme in order to segregate people based on perceived differences, such as wealth.
Gender- The sex that you are born with.
Sexual Orientation- What you choose to identify as A male or female.
Social Justice- The attempts to dissuade racism as well as stigmas from hurting someone.
Race- A socio-political constrict used to divide people based on their perceived physical differences
Racism- The oppression of a race other than your own, based on the color of their skin.
Institutional racism- Laws passed to prohibit people of certain races to be able to do what other races are allowed to do.
Systemic racism-  Similar to institutional racism, it is racism based on the class as well as the monetary value and skin color of people through laws and other ways of dominance.

(Pang (2018) 7).  Furthermore we see it becoming a growing trend with America today.  More and more people are starting to notice it.   Pang further states that "Sexual orientation is another aspect of diversity in society that is being recognized by many people and organizations." (Pang (2018) 7).  The question remains is it doing a good thing in the nation or is it harming the moral of the nation.
This was an important part of history in that it showed Americans there was a new movement coming up. However we need to realize that these movements were sparked by violence and opposition to the government laws, unlike the race movement earlier on. School has been teaching us that these new uprisings are okay.
