The Boston tea party was a act against the the tea act. This was an act that England raised the tax on the tea . The colonists weren't mad about the tax but they had no representation. Also the tea act was an act that England only let the colonists buy tea from the East India Company. Therefore the company raised the price so if the colonists wanted tea they would had to buy it from them. This was a very unreasonable act that England proposed that is what the colonists thought. They were infuriated.
To rebel against this act the colonists did a act called the Boston tea party. On the night of December 16, 1773 around 60 colonists dressed up as Indians by putting ashes on their faces. They went in single file line onto the boats. Once on the boat some opened crates with axes, some lifted the tea out and then threw the tea overboard into the sea. This ritual happened on three other ships in the Boston harbor.

The French and Indian war happened between 1754-1763. You could also hear this war be called the seven years of war. The French and the Indian war was a war that the French was fighting the British with their Indian allies. Although some Indian allies abandon the French and came to the British side. The French was getting weaker so Spain helped them but the army was too weak by then. The British won! All this fighting happened mainly in upstate New York. This war was about who got to claim Ohio valley. Overall the French signed the Treaty of Paris in 1763. This treaty said that they gave all their land back to Britain and Spain. After that Spain gave up Florida.
Fun Fact: More people were killed in the French and Indian war then the whole American Revolution.

On the day of March 5 1770 a fight broke out between colonists and the British soldiers. The colonists would call the British soldiers lobsters scoundrels or they would throw snowballs, sticks ans stones. A flying object that the colonists threw hit the soldiers. Therefor the solider fired his musket, some say it was accidental some say it was on purpose, we will never know. Even though the commander told them not to fire, some did though. They could of misheard or not we will never know. overall 5 colonists died and some hurt. In the court 6 British soldiers were found not guilty and 2 were were let free after being branded on the thumb for the crime manslaughter. Branded is when you get a permanent imprint on your thumb saying that you commented this type of crime. Some people like to call this a massacre, although it is not totally correct. Only 5 people died, that is most likely not a massacre. Some might argue with this a opinion. What do you think?
One of the Boston famous pieces of propaganda of the war is one that is depicting the Boston massacre. this piece was made by a colonists named Paul Revere. This piece makes the colonists seem like helpless, incontinence people while this was not the case. That is also why it is propaganda because propaganda is suppose to persuade the person side or idea of the incident. Overall this event had a lot of unknowns so it is hard to make a accurate information.

After the French and Indian war that British won with help with the Natives. The Natives told the British that they were not happy with the one after another new settlers setting past the Appalachian mountains. Due to their worry King George passed the Proclamation. The Proclamation says that no colonists can settle west of the Appalachian mountains. The King passed this because he thought it would please the natives and they would not attack as much. This did worse the colonists thought the king was on the Natives side. Also some colonists had already was in the middle of making colonies and already owned land. As result the colonists did not want to give up their land. All in all the Proclamation failed.

The first committee was made by Samuel Adams. After this committee was formed many others were develop throughout other colonies. This was a committee shared news about how the are handling England and how to end there constant taxing. This group helped grow relationships with other colonies, this was helpful in the American Revolutionary war. There was no communication thorough the colonies until this group was formed. There was eventually a committee in each 13 colonies.

The real name for these acts is the coercive acts but the colonists called them the coercive acts. The first act was the quartering act, the quartering act was a act of the British Soldiers could come in your home sleep were they want eat what they want. This was very unpleasing because if you did not have that much food they could eat the rest then you would not have any. The second act was the Closing of the Massachusetts Legislature in this act the government could not meet or make decisions. Instead it was run by the British soldiers. Finally the most devastated act was the closing of Boston Harbor the closing meant they could not trade. The British would not repeal this act until they paid back the money lost from the tea dumped in the sea.

After the French and Indian war the king sent troops to to protect the colonists from the Indians if they attacked. Additionally, he sent the troops because the king thought the French might try to reclaim the land they lost in the war. Also in England people thought the colonists should have to pay for the French and Indian war since they were protecting them. So the king passed the stamp tax. This was that they had to pay a tax on all important documents and playing cards. When you put the special stamp on the paper it symbolizes that the tax had been paid. the colonists were made about the British soldiers were there but they also had to care for them. Additionally, they had to pay the tax but they were more angry that they did not had a say in the tax decision. Therefor they mad the stamp act congress in this congress there was somebody from 9 colonies. m In this congress they decided to not be taxed unless they had a say in the tax. The ships that arrived with stamps were faced with angry mobs who demolished the stamps or the ship would return to England with all the stamps still loaded on. The stamp act made it hard for businesses to operate therefor the tax was took removed in March 1766.

They needed to cover their debt for the French and Indian war so they taxed paper, glass, paint and tea all these items imported from England. They also taxed these items because they thought it was not clear to the colonist that they were still had control over them. This was hard on the colonies because they could not do that much or have a say. Although they had protest and they boycott the items. Back in England the boycott was doing exactly what it wanted to do, the stores were losing a lot of money and they were not able to control the pressure from the colonies to repel the act. Due to these reasons the taxes were repeal accept for the tax on tea
