The World Health Organization's Constitution, in effect since April 7, 1948, defined health as "a state marked by complete mental, body and social well-being."(Sartorius, 2006).
To me, health holds immense importance. It represents more than just the absence of illness; it signifies a state where my physical, mental, and social aspects are in harmonious balance. When I enjoy good health, I am equipped with the vitality needed to pursue my interests, connect with my dear ones, and enthusiastically embrace new opportunities. It forms the bedrock upon which I construct my hopes and ambitions, enabling me to fully engage with life. Ultimately, health is a valuable asset that empowers me to relish each moment and work towards a brighter future.
(Sartorius, N. (2006).
DOMAIN 7: PROFESSIONAL-Competency standard 12.3 reflection

In my opinion, the key focus of Competency Standard 12.3 that stood out the most was providing care that is centered around the individual and their family.
Person-centred care respects the individual's unique background, values, and preferences, tailoring healthcare accordingly. Family-focused care involves the patient's family in their support and decision-making.
I've deepened my comprehension of person-centred care, which entails treating each person as an individual human being, rather than just a medical condition. I now realize the significant influence these principles can have on patient outcomes and their level of satisfaction. This newfound understanding has bolstered my confidence in delivering improved patient care and enhancing overall patient satisfaction.
This competency is crucial in my workplace as it nurtures trust and collaboration between healthcare professionals and patients. When patients experience being heard, respected, and engaged in their care, it increases their likelihood of adhering to treatment plans, openly discussing their health concerns, and ultimately achieving improved health results. Moreover, incorporating the patient's family can provide essential emotional support, thereby promoting a comprehensive approach to healthcare.
(Culturally Responsive Clinical Practice: Working with People from Migrant and Refugee Backgrounds.

There are many different types of Chinese languages, and they belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family. Some of these languages are so different that people who speak one might not understand people who speak another. This difference is especially noticeable in the hilly southeastern part of China.
