Our students took on a creative challenge: to present our school using the English alphabet. What made it truly special is that this fun activity matched our curriculum perfectly!

Learning the alphabet, each letter represented a word that connects directly to what we learn at school — from subjects like M for Math and S for Science, to values such as R for Respect and K for Kindness. The children thought deeply, chose meaningful words, and created each letter with care.

This alphabet project brought language learning, creativity, teamwork, and our school values together — just as outlined in our curriculum goals.

In the end, we turned their work into a colorful and joyful video. Every word, every letter, and every student had an important role in sharing what makes our school a wonderful place to learn and grow.

For our second challenge, we explored the word PEACE in different languages. This activity helped us learn more about languages, cultures, and the world around us.

Using computers and working in teams, the students researched how to say peace in many different languages. They didn’t stop at just ten — they went even further!

The idea to create a poster came from the students themselves. They matched each word for peace with the flag of the country where the language is spoken. The result was a colorful and meaningful display that celebrates unity and diversity.

We truly enjoyed this challenge. It helped us practice research skills, teamwork, creativity, and respect for different cultures — all while learning a very important word: PEACE.

Challenge 3 was especially important to us — it was time to create a logo for our project! We took this task very seriously because we knew the logo would represent everything we’ve been learning and doing together.

Our students used different creative tools to design their logos. Some drew their ideas by hand, while others used digital tools like Canva to bring their visions to life. Each logo reflected the spirit of our project in a unique and meaningful way.

After all the logos were ready, we held a classroom vote to choose the one that best represented our ideas. But the challenge didn’t stop there! We joined a video conference with students from five other schools in different countries. Together, we shared our designs and voted for the common logo of the whole project.

Even though our logo wasn’t the final winner, we were proud — proud of our creativity, proud of our teamwork, and proud to be part of something bigger than just our own school.

It was a wonderful experience of learning, collaboration, and international friendship — all through art and imagination.

Challenge 4 was one of the activities we enjoyed the most! We received funny Halloween-themed letters and pictures, and our task was to spell spooky words using them.

Some of the words were easy, but others really made us think — and that’s where teamwork became super important. We had to cooperate, help each other, and stay focused to solve the challenges.

The most exciting part? Some of our bravest students took on the ultimate challenge: to spell 10 Halloween words in just one minute! It was tricky and fast-paced, but a few managed to do it — and everyone cheered them on.

We had lots of fun while practicing spelling, thinking fast, and working together. It was a great way to mix learning and laughter!

Our December Challenge was definitely one of our favourites — we got to be Secret Santas!

We made Christmas cards and cute little presents for our friends in Greece. There was so much laughter and excitement as we decorated cards, created gifts, and wrote heartfelt letters. When everything was ready, we packed it all into a big box, wrapped it in colourful Christmas paper, and sent it off to Greece.

Then came the hardest part — we waited and waited and waited! This challenge taught us something special: the importance of patience. We kept hoping our package would arrive on time… and it did!

We were filled with joy when we received their presents and cards too. It was equally exciting seeing the smiling faces of the Greek students in the photos they sent us after opening our gifts.

This challenge brought out the true Christmas spirit — giving, kindness, joy, and connection. Even though we are far apart, this experience made us feel closer than ever, like one big international classroom.

For Challenge 6, the students really thought deeply about what peace means. They agreed that the best place to start is by maintaining peace right here in our classroom.

To show this, we took photos that represent peace in our classroom and made videos to help all students in our school think about peace and empathy.

At the end, we created a huge peace sign made up of photos of every student in our school. This symbol reminds us all that each person must contribute if we want to have peace at school.

We placed the peace sign in the school canteen so it’s a constant reminder to everyone.

Our peace sign was so meaningful that it was also used as part of the stage decoration at the public celebration of Slovenian Culture Day.

We began by creating our main character, Pax, who became the heart of our story. Then, we dove into learning about brave people from the past who fought for peace, equality, and human rights. Their stories inspired us deeply.

With all this knowledge and inspiration, we wrote our chapter, bringing Pax’s journey to life with hope and courage.

This challenge touched our hearts in a big way. Many students shared how much it meant to them — how it opened their eyes to the power of kindness and standing up for what is right. It was more than just writing a story; it was about coming together, learning together, and believing in a better world.

For Challenge 8, we rewrote John Lennon’s famous and still very important song, “Give Peace a Chance.” Each participating school wrote one stanza, then filmed it. Together, all the stanzas were joined to create a brand-new version of the song — our very own anthem for peace!

This challenge reminded us once again how important teamwork is to make something special happen. We were really proud of the stanza we wrote and turned our words into a colorful poster to share with everyone.

The song became so meaningful that we now sing it at the beginning of every English lesson. It inspires us to remember that peace starts with each one of us — every single day.

Our last challenge brought everything together. We collected the clues and lessons from all the previous challenges to uncover the powerful message behind our project: Europe for Peace.

To share this message with everyone, we arranged the eTwinning board right here in our school. Now, every student can see all the amazing work we did and learn about the importance of peace.

This board isn’t just a display — it’s a reminder that peace starts with each of us, and that together, across countries and cultures, we can build a better, kinder Europe.

We are proud to be part of this journey and to keep spreading the spirit of peace throughout our school every day.
