I love adventure and am a little bit of an adrenaline junky. My mom was an RN. It's a great life!  Our kids (and nieces/nephews) have all grown up with the ranch life and will keep it in the family.  The Waddell Homesteach Ranch has been in the family since 1906.  I loved to read and my third grade teacher is the reason I became a teacher.  My favorite book, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, was read by her.  I bought it with my own money from the Troll Book order and still read from that same copy to my classes today.  I have one older brother- two years older than me.  We grew up being best friends.  My parents now live full time on the ranch.

(now West Texas A&M) My brother also attended there. I met my husband there and graduated with my bachelors of arts in Education. We moved to Odessa a year later to be near our family and the family ranch. I taught 4th grade and went back to school for my Master's degree in Reading. We moved to Andrews, Texas which is 35 miles north of Andrews. I have taught 4th grade since then in Andrews. I decided to go back to school to get my library science school certification from SHSU this pas spring. We spend lots of time with our family and close friends we consider family. We have 3 kiddos- Rebbekah, 26 who lives in Germany. She met her boyfriend while attending Texas Tech. Tony is originally from Germany and moved back after graduation. He asked Rebbekah to move with him after she graduated. They have lived there 4 years now. That has been difficult for us not having her here, but she is happy. The got engaged on during a trip home to Texas this past June. Our second daughter, Brittney, also attended WTAM and graduated with an Agri-Business degree. She works at the bank here in Andrews in the loan department and is beginning to be assigned agriculture loans. She is a huge help on the family ranch. Our youngest, Deric, is 22 and a pumper for Apache Oil. He also got engaged to precious Hayden this past July. Underwood is a 4th/5th grade campus and Clearfork is a Kinder/1st grade campus.  I spend a week at one campus, then the next week at the second campus.  It keeps me very busy!  But I am loving it!
