Authentic Learning - Students who have learned the recording and mixing software would be the best interns at running sound and creating samples for Marching Band, helping run sound at graduation and other school events.

Goal Directed - Goals could be set by event dates and events requirements. Students would have to have the sound system setup, music ready to go, sound checked, any EQ and effects necessary, etc.

Students use POCO software to record and upload their recorded assessments. Constructive - POCO allows students to listen back to their recording, see their grades and get their feedback from the directors and see exactly where in the audio the feedback talks about.

We had several student led small ensembles this year. The Advanced Percussion class did a project learning "Catching Shadows" by Ivan Trevino. Students picked the piece and planned the rehearsals.

Goal Directed - The piece was selected to play at the Winter Concert so students used a planner to keep on task with rehearsals and reaching their accomplish marks. If students had consistent access to technology, they could've used planning apps that sync to all of the member devices and could have uploaded segments to hold one another accountable outside of rehearsal.
