         <title>1845 - Fredrick Douglas </title>

This is because he wrote many books including biographies and autobiographies that helped to show the negatives of slavery. Fredrick Douglas being an escaped slave himself knew firsthand how terrible slavery was and thus he was able to inform many about the negatives of slavery. </p>]]></description>

         <title>1688 - The Mennonites </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Mennonites were a group of Christians who interpreted Christianity differently than others at the time and because of that disliked slavery and thought that everyone was equal. To try and get more people to think this way they circulated an anti-slavery petition to try and abolish slavery in early America. This petition was the first petition to go against slavery made in America which helped to show the issue of slavery to many in early America. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

He helped to show that black people weren’t inferior to white people by winning Boxing matches against white people. His victories made many rethink their own thoughts about black people being inferior and overall help to further antiracist ideas.  </p>]]></description>

William Lloyd Garrison was more than just an antiracist he also supported womans rights and even became prominent voice for the women's suffrage movement. Overall, his work informed tens of thousands about the negatives of slavery and why it should be abolished.   </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Some challenges that modern day antiracists are facing today are some of the challenges of systemic racism. Systemic racism is made up of all the hidden biases that make up the world today. For example, things like redlining which is loans for homes aren't given out because of race. These practices have been happening for hundreds of years and in some areas are still happening today and will continue to happen unless more action is done.   </p>]]></description>

Some of these lost policies could cause the widening of the wealth gap for marginalized groups. This could happen if the polices lost are polices that affect things like education, employment, or housing for marginalized communities. Overall, the loss of polices could have a big negative impact to marginalized groups and communities.</p>]]></description>

This happened when John Brown tried to raid Harpers Ferry, West Virginia which was a U.S armory. His reason for raiding the Armory was to arm slaves with weapons and start a revolution. His revolution ultimately ended up with a local militia stopping him and executing him. Overall, John Brown helped to bring attention to slavery everywhere.  </p>]]></description>
