Bantering with old friend and loyal customer, Sherb Noble, they made a deal. Sherb Noble agreed to run a "all you can eat" trial buffet at his walk-in ice cream store. Soon, they had served over 1,000 servings of their new ice cream. In 1940, they Fremont opened his very first ice cream shop, Dairy Queen.
