Teaching and facilitation skills - felt important

Support for student wellbeing - MIND courses, re mental health awareness has been run for some technicians who are student-facing; and this felt ongoing importance.

Student can open up and confide in technicians who meet them regularly for many hours a week in some cases in labs. So clear guidance re referral routes to wellbeing how to seek assistance for students.

Could be developed further to host useful links /resources and highlight mapping of SD programme onto more specific Technicians needs

Shared that 1:1s, career planning etc as part of PSCDP will be introduced, RHogg keen to link into this in way delivers support to technical staff

Discussed ways that the value of registering with professional body could be communicated better

Could this be something funded as part of the PSCDP if roles where registration felt an advantage?( similar ways to other consideration to professional body accreditation across PS)

Suggestion of a regular group to meet to support those getting started on/working on the professional registration to keep up motivation.
