There are six groups of Batak who speak separate but related languages: the Angkola, the Mandailing to the south, the Toba, to the north the Pakpak/Dairi, the Simalungun, and the Karo. While the groups are now Muslim or Christian, elements of the ancient Batak religion remain, particularly amongst the Karo.

The bale ("meeting hall"), rumah ("house"), and sopo  ("rice barn") are the three main building types common to the different Batak groups. The rumah  has traditionally been a large house in which a group of families live communally. During the day, the interior is shared living space, and at night, cloth or matting drapes provide families with privacy. Most Batak now live in modern homes, and many traditional houses are abandoned or in a poor state of repair.

The architecture and village layouts of the six Batak groups also show significant differences. Toba Batak houses, for example, are boat-shaped with intricately carved gables and upsweeping roof ridges. Karo Batak houses rise up in tiers. Lembaga pengarah PT Tokyu Land Indonesia Tai Horikawa mengumumkan hal itu usai majlis penutupan atap Branz BSD di bangunan itu, Selasa (12/7/2017).

Hadir di antaranya dalam majlis itu Ketua Daerah Tangerang Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, Duta Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia Masfumi Ishii dan Group CEO Sinarmas Land Michael Widjaja.

"Penting bagi kami agar progres dan pembangunan Branz BSD berjalan lancar. Dan tentunya itu adalah yang diharapkan konsumen kami," kata Horikawa.

Sejak dilancarkan pada 2015 lalu, minat masyarakat terhadap produk tersebut cukup baik. Meskipun kondisi properti di Indonesia dalam kurun waktu dua tahun terakhir tidak begitu

Ada tiga menara yang terdiri atas 1.256 unit, yang dibangun dalam pembangunan tahap pertama ini. Namun dari jumlah tersebut, baru dua menara yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat.

"500 unit telah terjual. Dan Tokyu Land mempertimbangkan untuk menjual menara ketiga dengan melihat tren perkembangan minat masyarakat," kata dia.

Horikawa menambahkan, sejak ditawarkan pertama kali hingga kini, telah terjadi peningkatan harga hingga 10 persen, yaitu dari Rp 2,1 juta menjadi Rp 2,4 juta.

Horikawa pun percaya pasaran properti Indonesia akan kembali meningkat. Karena itu, untuk menjaga pembangunan pasaran, peneraju asal Jepang itu berjanji akan menyelesaikan pembangunan tahap pertama tepat waktunya.


Kondominium Branz BSD dibangun di atas tanah seluas 5,3 hektar. Sebanyak 3.000 unit dikembangkan dalam tiga tahap dengan estimasi nilai projek sekitar 50 juta yen atau setara dengan Rp 5,4 trilion 

Tokyu Land mengusung konsep The Living Colours of Nature, mengutamakan keramahan setempat dan keamanan bagi penghuninya.

Teknologi yang digunakan dalam pembangunan kondominium ini berasal dari Jepang yang disesuaikan dengan iklim dan alam Indonesia.

Beberapa teknologi yang diaplikasikan seperti Low-E Glass by Asahimas yanng merupaka kaca jendela khusus yang dirancang mengurangkan pancaran sinar matahari.

Selain itu, Branz BSD juga dilengkapi dengan penggunaan lampu LED Panasonic dan Home Energy Management System (HEMS) yang merupakan sistem visualisasi untuk mengontrol penggunaan  air.

Water purifier permanent juga disediakann di seluruh unit guna memastikan penghuni dapat menikmati air  yang aman dan bersih.

Di samping itu, untuk memberikan kualiti keamanan yang tinggi, sistem keamanan yang digunakan merupakan sistem Secom dan jenis kunci khusus yang dibuat oleh Miwa Lock untuk mengakses ke pintu unit
