  • Frequently though, he or she may appear to be totally conscious and alert but will not remember anything about what they did during that time. 
  • Alcohol may increase the effect which is why young people are using Ambien or Ambien CR alone or with alcohol can pose as a very dangerous date rape drug.

Those who take Zolpidem state that it helps them fall asleep but for the most part they feel rested and clear-headed the next day. In 2007, the FDA approved generic Ambien, or Zolpidem, to be manufactured. It is known to wipe all memory of previous hours if taken at a high dosage.
