I would describe Kek's and Ganwar as supportive and understanding. Both of these characters have gone through a tremendously traumatic experience back at home in Africa and are now trying to adapt to their new American home. Although Kek is newer, Ganwar supports Kek in his feelings of guilt, but also tries to get him to understand that American culture is different than their culture back at home. Only both of them can understand the pains of how much they miss their family and their old lives under the stars and with the cattle.

I would describe Ivan's and Julia's relationship as loving and caring because Julia always gives Ivan new things. One time she gave her a crayon and a paper. Ravi gave Joe a blue double m&m. You might think that a m&m means nothing, but it means a lot to him. Just like the saying "one person's trash is another's treasure," it saved Joe from embarrassment.
