The quote generally means that the more power an individual has, the less moral (and less conscious of others' best interests) they become.

Macbeth Act I: The quote could apply to Macbeth's treatment of his close friend, Banquo, + his mind beginning to turn to dark deeds after learning that he was decreed thane of Cawdor by King Duncan. He becomes dismissive of Banquo's wariness about the witches' prophecies + begins pondering about whether or not he will have to become king by taking things into his own hands.

Macbeth Act II: When the murder that only a while ago Macbeth had shaken himself from thinking about is committed, his corruption has reached a fever pitch. He views himself as unholy, completely irredeemable, not even allowing himself to say 'Amen' when finishing a prayer. In relation to Lady Macbeth, her lust for power - perhaps even greater than her husband's - drives her to physically bloody her own hands in order for them to lay claim to the throne.

They basically lose morals because they are so caught up in all the power they have.
This Quote relates to the story Macbeth because when Macbeth heard of the fact he could become king his mind began to think about all the power he would have and Lady Macbeth was the one to become Corrupted 1st because she loved the thought of Macbeth getting all the power and then told Macbeth her corrupted idea. Once the murder happened you could tell the world around Macbeth also became corrupted because the horses started eating horse and the sun started to never come out.

This quote may mean that any sort of authority someone may have can be abused by that person. This power may go to someone's head and they become "corrupt", only making decisions that will benefit themselves and harm others. I think that absolute power means even more power than before, and with that power comes greater corruption.

I believe this quote represents Macbeth. He and his wife used their noble status and betrayed the King, placing the blame on Duncan's sons. This makes them greedy and corrupt because they used the power they had to get what they wanted. The situation is worse when Macbeth is appointed King due to Duncan's murder, and now Macbeth plans to use his absolute power in order to make sure he stays king.

Titiana Myers
In my honest opinion this means that absolute power does indeed corrupt absolutely. The experience of power destroys the skills that gain us power in the first place. In these findings the power paradox strikes us with full force: The very practices that enable us to rise in power vanish in our experience of power. Having power corrupts a man, or lessens his morality, and the more power a man has, the more corrupted he will become. This idiom means that those in power often do not have the people's best interests in mind. It morally destroys their nature and fills them with destructive pride. However, if the person saves himself from this abuse of power, he or she is a humble person.

Power corrupts or reduces a man's morality, and the more power a man has, the more corrupted he will become. This phrase means that those in power do not always have the best interests of the people in mind. They are mainly concerned with their own interests, and they may use their position of power to their advantage. If you believe that absolute power corrupts absolutely, you might believe that monarchs—those with the most authority—have the fewest morals. Kinder souls would be found among the poorer and less powerful.
