Case study

Across three years the senior leadership management team changes three times. Each set adopts the principles and embraces the ethos of each of the sociological approaches. Create your school general set up- early years-primary or secondary, and then build your case- a chapter for each one.

In each section, answer the following:

In what ways does this influence and impact:

the set up and management of the classroom

the teaching and learning itself

the role of the educator and other colleagues in and around the class

the role of the pupil

the role of the family/local community?

How is the school led?

Provide a plenary and be ready to present these to another group. Post your school through the three iterations onto the padlet. Be ready to answer: what are the main differences and justify these.

Outcomes:

Learn about different foods from the class and try them

Understand about different cultures and backgrounds

Recognises and respects that others’ food choices may be different from their own

Creating small groups of children and conducting circle time in these small groups encourages social interaction with peers in a structured setting, builds confidence and social skills for children, they learn to respect experiences of others, promotes a sense of community and inclusion with reinsurance. They have the choice to give their experience of a time of social inclusion or a time where they felt they weren't socially included. The child must be under the impression that they do not need to share if they don’t want to, this avoids putting the child under unnecessary pressure and stress. 

An example would be the Outward Bound programme, that provides all of the equipment required to the adventure!!!
