In 2020, during the pandemic, we were due to submit our new 5-year consolidated plan. Not having the outlet to do in person engagement, we worked with a provider to create an online public meeting room with interactive maps, games, comment sections, document review areas, and more. I don't have the link to it anymore but we were quite proud of it. We used it again the next year for our 2nd year annnual plan. It was a great way to collect community feedback.

CDBG Application Training Workshop

Every grant cycle we conduct a Virtual Public Hearing and Application Workshop. We request all grantees request funds to attend the training. We do provide extra points for grantees that do attend the training. We always have a great turn out and we also receive good feedback.

During our last consolidated plan we held different public meeting workshops to explain to the public and stakeholders the importance of the topics throughout the plan. We broke it up for different days to make sure everyone remained engage. (We changed our program year to align with HUDs 10/01-9/30)
