Hi everyone, after our session with Rachel this week I took it upon myself to find a way to put a clock into power point rather than using an extra window and the need to share your screen with your class.

When in power point if you go into add ins on and search for Easy Timer, it will then go onto the page you have on display. It can be set as a physical clock or digital timer.

when you are displaying the clock on your power point and want to set it off, you just need to click on it with your mouse. If anyone would like me to show them how to do this please let me know

Paul B - Horticulture

Hi Everyone,

I thought I should share a great way of structuring a lesson. I discovered Oak Academy, who create lessons for many different subjects. I liked the way they use a Teaching and Learning circle when creating a PowerPoint. The slides are headed as explanation, check, practice and feedback.

Have a look at an example, I have attached.

Debbie S - English

Hello all,

I recently discovered BioRender, which is a free online platform for producing and downloading high quality images/illustrations for teaching, learning and research purposes. Scientific Image and Illustration Software | BioRender

It is often difficult to find good quality images of animals or other biological phenomenon, without having to remove labels or inaccuracies. BioRender has a larger database of relevant content linking to the biological sciences, and many areas of land-based science.

There are also pre-made worksheets, which could be great for group work or revision.

For the basic package, it is free to use, so worth a look.

Kind regards,

Will H - Animal Studies
