Göçmen 6 adıyla anılan bu okul zamanla  eğitim ve öğretime yeterli görülmeyerek yeni bir okul yapılması kararlaştırılır. Baraka okulun karşısında bulunan arsa satın alınır, okul yapımına süratle başlanır. Okul 1964 yılında tamamlanır, Barakalar iptal edilir. Aynı yıl Göçmen 6 ilkokul adıyla öğretime bu okulda başlanır. 1965 yılında okulun adı Ertuğrul Gazi ilkokulu olarak değiştirilir. Bu isim Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun kurucusu Osman Gazi´nin babası Ertuğrul Gazi´nin anısını yaşatmak maksadı ile verilir.
Okulumuz  23 derslik, 1 çok amaçlı salon, 1 oyun odası, 1 rehberlik odası, 1 öğretmenler odası, 1 yemekhane, 3 idare odası  bulunmaktadır. Okulumuz yarım gün öğretim vermektedir. Okulumuzun 704 öğrencisi ve 32 öğretmeni vardır. Okulumuz ilçe merkezinde bulunan bir ilkokuldur.

ERTUĞRUL GAZİ  PRİMARY SCHOOL
Since 1950, after the immigrant families from the Balkans settled in the environment, the surrounding primary schools could not meet the needs, so a school was built in 1957 from the barracks instead of the current Ertuğrulgazi mosque. This school, which is called as Immigrant 6, is not deemed sufficient for education and training in time and a new school is decided to be built. The land opposite the Baraka school is purchased, the construction of the school begins quickly. The school is completed in 1964, the barracks are canceled. In the same year, education begins at this school under the name of 6 Göçmen primary schools. In 1965, the name of the school was changed to Ertuğrul Gazi Primary School. This name is given to keep alive the memory of Ertuğrul Gazi, the father of Osman Gazi, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.

Our school has 23 classrooms, 1 multi-purpose hall, 1 playroom, 1 guidance room, 1 teachers' room, 1 dining hall, 3 administration rooms. Our school provides half-day education. Our school has 704 students and 32 teachers. Sınıf olarak ise, eğlenmeyi, öğrenmeyi ve işbirliği içinde çalışmayı düşünen bir topluluk olarak bilinmekteyiz.

There are 27 students, 10 girls and 17 boys, in the 2-C class of Ertuğrul Gazi Primary School. Although we were first class last year, our project succeeded in staying in the field stage by participating in the "Good Examples in Education" competition of the Provincial Directorate of National Education. Bir eğitimci olarak yüksek lisans tezimin konusu olan akran zorbalığı ile savaşırken aynı zamanda öğrencilerimin sosyal becerilerini de en üst seviyeye çıkarmayı hedefliyorum. Burada çok değerli eğitimcilerle çalışmak bana güç ve motivasyon verecektir. Buna inanıyorum.

I was born in Istanbul in 1991. I graduated from Marmara University in 2013. I have been teaching for 7 years. In our changing and developing world, I have an effort to adopt the constructivism and multiple intelligences theory with students and ensure that each student reaches the highest level they can reach. Empathy, tolerance, respect, self-confidence and so on while providing students with the necessary academic skills. I would also like to instill values. As an educator, I aim to maximize my students' social skills while combating peer bullying, which is the subject of my master's thesis. Working with valuable educators here will give me strength and motivation. Ancak Twinspace'de yapılan tartışmada hangi şarkıların söylenebileceği belirlendi. Belirlenen 4 şarkıdan bir tanesini seçmek için anket oluşturuldu. Bu etkinliğin Kasım ayında yapılmasına karar verildi. 

It was aimed to sing the same song by all the project students. However, due to the problems caused by COVID-19 (some of our teachers had COVID-19, face-to-face education was limited, etc.), it could not be implemented in this planned time.
However, in the discussion held on Twinspace, it was determined which songs could be singed. A questionnaire was created to select one of the 4 songs. It was decided to hold this event in November.

My students wrote a letter to their friends in Italy. We did this activity with the Online course. We agreed with our teacher in Italy. We will be holding a video conference soon. For this, I tried to get the students to read and speak in English. My students are very excited! This project really excites me too. I am also glad that the students wanted to make the eTwinning logo while writing the letter.It is very proud to create this spirit in my students in 2nd grade ...
(I also wanted to introduce the culture of Italy while writing the letters. We got to know the flag of Italy, its capital. We listened to Italian music while the students wrote the letters.)

On December 3, we introduced our students to our teacher Rossella in Italy. Before we met, we read and repeat our letters and wanted to surprise our Italian friends. We made the Italian flag next to the Turkish flag. My students were very excited. This excitement of the students reached to the parents. Due to the pandemic, we connected in our Online course. Zeynep Sare, one of our students, made "Revani" dessert with her mother and introduced the Turkish dessert to European partners. While making the video, attention was paid to e-safety issues. Royalty free music and pictures are used. Öğrencilerimiz basit kodlama yaparak Avrupalı arkadaşların Carnaval sevincini kutladı.

We became partners in "Carnaval celebrations" of our European friends. Our students celebrated the Carnaval joy of European friends by simple coding.

During the activity, it was observed that the students had difficulties at first but became happy as they approached. Drawing pictures on math notebooks was very interesting for students. Our students have started to write a joint story with their project partners in Europe. We made this achievement in the Turkish lesson. First of all, it was discussed what should happen in the story and what the subject of the story is. Then, brainstorming was done with the students. Stories were written by the students. Bu etkinliklerin yanında İtalya'daki öğrenciler ile mektup alışverişinden sonra öğrencilerimizin online şekilde İtalyan öğrencilerle tanışması sağlanmıştır. Projenin finalinde ise proje ortakları ile "Arkadaşlık" konusu üzerine bir ortak bir e-kitap ve akrostiş şiir hazırlanmıştır.

Bu proje ile öğrenciler öğretim programlarındaki  anahtar yetkinliklerden "Yabancı dillerde iletişim, dijital yeterlik, kültürel farkındalık" gibi becerileri kazanırken; aynı zamanda "Dostluk,  sevgi, saygı, yardımseverlik" gibi değerleri de geliştirmiştir. Projeyi yürüten 2-C sınıfı öğretmeni Tolgahan PALAK, öğrenci ve velilerinin  özverili  ve başarılı çalışmalarından dolayı tebrik ederiz. 

The eTwinning project "Same Sky, Same Smile", which started in October, was completed in March.
Teachers and students from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Serbia took part in the project where Turkey was represented by our school. With this project, students danced to the same song with their friends in Europe, pictured themselves imagining themselves in the sky, designed the logos and posters of the project with different web2 tools, and introduced our country, city and school to foreign partners in English. In addition to these activities, after exchanging letters with students in Italy, our students were enabled to meet Italian students online. At the end of the project, an e-book and acrostic poem on the subject of "Friendship" were prepared with the project partners.

With this project, students gain skills such as "communication in foreign languages, digital competence, cultural awareness", which are key competencies in the curriculum; it also developed values ​​such as "Friendship, love, respect, helpfulness".
