What I found interesting about the video is that SDG 11 goal is minimizing economic loss because in the long road without a healthy enough economy to support us then were screwed. According to the article it states, "Taken as a whole, SDG 11 is a

comprehensive and complex goal: creating sustainable cities that can

withstand both climate change and unprecedented growth". However, as discussed in the article having individuals particplate might be a challenge due to People use to there certain ways of living or not wanting to make a change..

One interesting thing I found about the article was that the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development plan involves making basic services accessible to people and improving infrastructure on a budget. According to the article, "The goal says cities should ensure access to safe and affordable housing, public transportation, and public green spaces. It states that cities should be resilient to natural disasters and protect those in vulnerable situations while also minimizing economic loss." I found this interesting because of what I learned in class about what makes a city sustainable and these are the main characteristics of one. One interesting thing I found about the video was the doubt of how to provide equity for all people while maintaining that balance in providing for all areas of sustainability. According to the video, "Equity looks like people being able to access safe services and opportunity in their cities." This shows that all people living in the city should have access-that all people could buy a home at an affordable price.

One thing I found interesting in the video is that besides the fact that some cities have good infrastructure, it has a big demand of taxpayers dollars and housing prices would go up dramatically. I found in the article that by increasing tolls for cars, public transportation would be encouraged. However, not many people would be happy with it. In fact, many people would perhaps protest the idea and aren't that willingly to change the way they commute to work.

The part of the article that most interests me is "The goal says cities should ensure access to safe and

affordable housing, public transportation, and public green spaces. It states

that cities should be resilient to natural disasters and protect those in

vulnerable situations while also minimizing economic loss" as it shows us the bare bones of what we need to have sustainable cities, yet it is a very challenging goal to accomplish. Not only is it hard to make the right changes that will offer the most sustainability, it also comes with the task of staying in the city's budget. You'd have to learn to fit everything you can do into the city and make them work with each other. This interests me a lot because it shows how much we need to plan to get to a more sustainable future, even if it isn't fully sustainable.

What I found interesting about the video is that people are trying to make the city better and if the taxes go up so will the housing prices and other resources. I also found it interesting what the video says about being equal because everyone should have the same rights to buy any house or land. Something I found interesting about the article is that the air is getting worse in urban areas and that all cities are responsible for about 70% of all greenhouse gas emissions. As the article says, if we want things to be better we can take action. It won't be easy but we can do stuff such as fix local parks.

One thing I find the most interesting is that although reaching SDG 11 is up to the government, they need to community to invest in it too, but not with just money. The article said that individuals in the community could contribute with green projects like cleaning parks, planting rooftop gardens, and starting composting projects. Even community leaders could help by encouraging people to do these or starting movements to slow climate change.

One thing I found interesting about the article and the video is how both share a tremendous amount of information on how our country and some other countries are finding and inventing new ways to have sustainable development. One way is by using SDG 11, where the government manipulates residents into choosing more eco-friendly decisions. Such as cleaning parks, and rooftop gardens and choosing walking or cycling instead of using gas-powered cars. Also because of this project, many people might have a better way of living in big cities such as New York City, New York. Because of green projects and the prices of gas going up, public transportation and bicycles are more pocket-friendly options. Meaning the plan of 2030 might be working to create a better earth and save our planet from all the pollution/ climate change to slow down or even get rid of it complete.

The article states how individuals in the community helped and contributed to improving their environment. They assisted with many projects to enhance the development of having a much cleaner place and encourage others to be associated with this. Throughout the urban areas, the air has only gotten worse. With the help of the community and the choices of the government, it will likely benefit from a more suitable environment to live in.
