On page 85 Walter says to his wife,`"No! Cause ain't nobody with me! Not even my own mother." He claims that no one is ever by his side when all anyone does for him is listen. The only thing he cares about is money. Walter will say anything to get people to feel bad for him to get what he wants even if it hurts others.

In the text on page 34 it states, "I got to change my life, I'm choking to death baby!" He wants everyone to know that his dreams are important too and that it can be successful. Also that everyone has different things there passionate about and you can't control that. Walter wants others to try and understand where he's coming from before its too late.

I feel as if he only thinks about himself most times and does what he wants. He’s always complaining about money and when he finally gets it his attitude with people who have money goes away. That all changes when he loses it. Another thing is I feel that he is also not fully understood. He may think things that others don't which can cause an outburst.

This piece of art explains how Walters feels in life. It symbolizes him suffocating in his own thoughts and all the things he wants to say. Most of the time he says what’s on his mind but no one ever listens. It also shows all the things running through his mind and what to say at the time. He doesn't know the reactions people will have that can cause him to bottle them up.

This poem relates to the character because it talks about how most people act. It talks about how peoples life are like a machine and that he does't want to live like that. Some people use all there energy and then one day its gone. For example, Walters father worked his life away to forget and for that he overused and rarely say his family. Walter doesn't want to be like that weather he does something or not. Also, sometimes its hard to remind yourself what you have to do so you shut down.

These Lyrics relate to the character Walter because it takes about how he has faults just like any other human. A line in the lyrics said, "But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood." This explains Walters situation of how he feels. In the lyrics it talks about how hard it is to hide things and sometimes you have to let it out. He's also saying all the things that happened for for good reasons. For example, wanting to open a liquor store so his son wouldn't have to sleep on the couch, or that he could get his wife a set of pearls. Also, that people have problems and he got his shares and is trying to find a way to deal with them.

Part 8: Dream vs. Reality

According to the text on page 73, 74 it states, “Sometimes its like I can see the future stretched out in front of me—just plain as day. The future, Mama. Hanging over there at the edge of my days. Just waiting for me—a big, looming blank space—full of nothing. Just waiting for me. But it don’t have to be.” This quote supports the theme because it lets the audience know that you have to work for what you want. You can have plenty of dreams but what does that do without action. Walter is talking to his mom about how there is a better life for him out there he just needs the support from his folks to help peruse it. Also, the environment and encouragement he has from his family can depend on his decision. Lastly, it doesn't matter the situation if your passionate about something you won't let it stop you.
