Hundreds of 24-hr mental health support telephone hotlines have sprung up in China to help people who are having anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to the covid-19. But this doesn’t work very well as not many are well-trained and some unofficial talk lines could do more harm than good. Volunteers might also end up facing mental health issues instead as there is too much to handle for them.
I personally feel that they should come up with better alternatives to make their people have less of this mental health issues. There is way too many people that are facing all these issues. The amount of trained psychiatrist can’t possibly handle hundred thousands of people calling them. Some volunteers that took part in this have no mental health issues but after receiving calls and listening to people concerns, they themselves might get even more affected than those who already are. In this way, I’d rather the government don’t carry out this operation.
Inundated- to overwhelm
Rapport- understanding between people
Innocuous- not likely to irritate or offend

This article is about a new Netflix comedy-drama Series “I Am Not Okay With This” and a teenager who is haunted by her special abilities while trying to cope with growing up. The author of this new series also previously helmed “The End Of The 🤬 World (2017 to 2019)”. The character also has drawn comparisons to Eleven from Stranger Things. In a nut shell, the whole show is an allegory for growing up - it’s confusing until you understand what it means to be an adult - and how teens get through their day and work things out.

Nowadays, more people are concerned about food wastage and are taking steps to do thier part.It also found out that more people have adopted various habits to reduce food waste. There were many ways provided for the public to refuce food waste when eating out such as opting for smaller portions.Towards Zero waste grant has supported about 270 ground-up events and projects ,includong 130 activities to drive action to reduce food waste
I personally feel that food wastage harms the environment as many people will waste food.Maybe because of the big portions or they do not like the food that they ordered.Everyone in Singapore should play a part to reduce food wastage and it is something that can be done. Some countries do not even have enough food for them to survive and we have it ,so we should finish our food and this is what each incividual should be doing. Thus, everyone plays a part.

This article is about how athletes train their body with extremely low-carbohydrates and high fat regimens where their 90 percent of daily calories comes from fats. This is a belief for athletes as they go through several weeks of intense training they hope that the diet will help them to improve performance since fat, as a fuel, is slow burning and last longing. However, studies have suggested that this diet can develop early signs of bone loss. They even went through a research by testing athletes whom were about to start their intense run by sorting them into two groups, based on whether their willing to try a keto diet or not.
I find this article interesting as i did not know about the negative outcomes of a keto diet which also fascinates me as most athletes carry out this diet without knowing its consequences.
I learnt that whatever we eat can effect how exercise effects us.
- Ketogenic diet
Is a diet which is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control (refractory) epilepsy in children.

That people that have grown up treasure these kinds of nostalgic items. As the objects are removed, they will feel the pain in their heart. For example, myself, every time i visit Changi Airport Terminal 2, i will look forward to watch the analog information board. I would sit there with my mom as we are resting and just watch the satisfying flaps move. I have spend a-lot of time at Changi Airport. Every

weekend, me and my family will go there to eat, watch the aeroplane take off and land as i was very interested about planes. Now, the Mcdonalds at Terminal 2 has also closed down due to that the terminal would be receiving a new facelift, which includes expansions to the departure hall outfitting it with more check-in counters, automated check-in kiosks and bag-drop machines. Many fond memories has taken place there. So i have learnt that we should all cherish everything we have before it disappears not only places however, friends and family too. If you neglect them, when they disappear, regret will be brought upon you.

This article allowed me to know what is happening in Africa today. Many deaths have occurred cause of food shortage. Yet we Singaporean’s are taking our food for granted, always thinking that this will not happen to Singapore. They are always praying for ran, their streams are all dry, this year they risk being burned to crisp by the relentless sun. They still have to queue up for food to be distributed by an non-government organisation, World Vision, and the World Food Programme. However the food they have is still not enough to cater to everyone. Many children missed lessons cause of hunger and those who went to class, nods off in class. However, the farmers there have learnt to be patient and once they see a drop of rain, they will just plant instead of waiting for the moisture to be good enough.

We are humans and we all go through tough times. Sometimes, we tend to forget about our surroundings especially those who we can reach out for help. Our mind are too focused on being stressed up and we only dwell about the situation. Being under a lot of pressure and not having much or any control over the outcome of a situation are the prime factors of feeling stress. In my opinion, it is important to take care of our mental health as it is vital for our emotional well-being. Personally, I always talk to my bestfriend through communication channel such as Telegram to rant out my emotions. I feel much more relieved after sharing and getting opinions from her. I strongly believe that it is not easy to cope alone. So, we should let down our ego and seek for help when in critical moments. Talking to someone is a way for us to clear our mind and find peace.

Through this article, I learnt some useful ways to improve my emotional well-being. Firstly : Tell yourself something positive. Practice using words that promote feelings of self-worth and personal power. Secondly: Write down something you are grateful for. Gratitude has been linked with improved well-being and mental health, as well as happiness. Lastly: Exercise. This helps to boost your mood as your body releases stress-relieving. Therefore, we should start loving ourselves more than others and also manage our mental health with care as it makes our way of thinking on different perspectives better !

SCJ was founded by South Korean national Lee Man-hee in 1984, and has attracted accusations of being a cult in several countries for infiltrating and disrupting established churches through deception to trick people into joining it. It opened a branch in Wuhan, where the coronavirus was first reported, last year. From there, SCJ made headlines globally last month when a large number if coronavirus cases in Daegu, South Korea, were reported to be linked to the SCJ chapter there. Former SCJ members said to have been duped into joining the cult with the same method. One of the tactics used by the group id to have a "maintainer" - someone who pretends to also be a student, but conceals his SCJ membership from new recruits to gain their trust. However, these people getting duped to join the cult as they were persuasive. As odd as the rules and regulations within the cult are, not much people actually said it out or reported them.

In a nutshell, we should be more aware of the tricks use by cults and be more mindful. As of SG, close to a third of the global financial centre OF SG sits less than 5m above sea level. It is predicted that as large as 3400 football fields in the centre of the small city-state could be underwater by 2100 if global continues to exacerbate. Thus, SG decides to fight instead of flight. Since other countries are not as rich as SG, or as space-constrained, SG aren't as vulnerable as other countries. Hence, SG actions to retaliate is the best option as of now, on a personal level. As looking at the current situation - things will not only contiune but worsen.

A city famous for traffic jams is looking to solve its congestion and pollution woes by building a massive train station over-hauling it’s rail network. Thailand’s biggest rail development project that will make travel possible to China and Singapore, and connect major Thai cities to Bangkok and its expanding transit systems. Thai government has committed to spending more than US$21 billion (S$29.3 billion) to expand Bangkok’s rail transit, extend train lines and build high-speed rails. This will help boost Thailand’s struggling economy.

Having public transport or railways in Thailand can help ease air pollution. Exhaust from personal vehicles are contributing to hazardous haze blanketing Bangkok and parts of the country over the past several months. The pollution problem in Thailand have not only hurt the environment but also reached the point where their actions are starting to hurt themselves. If the citizens were to take public transport instead of driving their own vehicles, it can help lessen the amount of exhaust produce by the car and help the environment. By having railways will also allow citizens to get to their destination faster as they do not have to be stuck in the traffic jams for long hours. The environment or earth is already in a terrible state, so we have to start to learn how to save the environment, simply by recycling or taking public transport instead of personal vehicles. Small little action that we do can help improve the environment.

Bangkok looks to clear polluted skies with railway project

A city famous for traffic jams is looking to solve its congestion and pollution woes by building a massive train station and over-hauling its rail network.
Bangkok, a capital choked by daily gridlock and seasonal toxic haze, is at the centre of plans for Thailand’s biggest rail development project that will make travel by train possible to China and Singapore. And will connect most major Thai cities to Bangkok and its expanding transit systems.
The Thai government has committed to spending more than US$21 billion ($29.3 billion) to expand Bangkok’s rail transit, extends train lines and build high-speed rails - with a massive US$1.3 billion hub at the Center that will become South-east Asia’s largest train station when it opens next year.

Having read this article, I feel that this is a great move by the Thai government as it not only aid in reducing the high pollution levels of the country, it also helps to improve the economy as people will be able to use the rail networks to gain access to Thailand. Many countries has already been taking action to reduce the pollution levels of their country by reducing the use of internal combustion engine so that they will be able to reduce the heavy usage of fossil fuels and the emission of carbon monoxide and other harmful gases. This is to prevent countries like Australia from receiving further effects of climate change. As Bangkok is one of the cities known for traffic jams, it is extremely polluted. And as experts predicted, climate change will then result in the possible submerge of the Bangkok city under water. This will mean that the government has to find another location to replace the current capital where businesses actually are located at. Thus the railway will then allow these activities to be spread out to other cities, preventing the sharp drop of economic activities. This will then ensure that the Thai economy will not be greatly affected.

Faux leather or polyester jackets are harmful to the environment as faux is type of fabric designed to look and feel like leather which require the use of animal hide and faux leather are made with plastic that are considered non biodegradable. The making of jeans require a lot of water that 1 pair weighting 1kg need at least 10,850 litres of water l. Fabric is usually dyed to get the different colours and the dyeing process is polluting the water. Cotton might sounds like it is better than man-made materials since it is a common fabric made of natural fibre but cotton is a crop that consumes a lot of water. Just 250g t shirt would have used 2,720 litres. In fact growing the cotton means that a lot chemicals are user to stop pests from eating crops. Some farmers that do practice safe method of farming, they are exposed to poisons and toxins and may develop Heath problems.
I will not buy any faux leather jacket anymore since they can be so harmful and even non biodegradable. I feel that one person only needs at least two good pair jeans as so much water is needed to produce a pair of jeans. I also didn’t think that cotton uses so much water so I will consider to buy lesser percentage of cottons t shirt instead of 100% cotton t shirt.
