Reflect 2015 offered those studying media, art, photography, journalism, graphic design and film a chance to parade their work to friends, family and industry guests.

Highlights of the exhibition included a children's book written in collaboration with The Down's primary school and graphics student's designs to modify Stansted Airport

Joseph Campos, 19, a Level 3 media student and curator of the exhibition, said: "The main benefits of an exhibition like this are that it gives students an opportunity to showcase their work to the public, which they don't always get the chance to do.

"For myself, as a curator, it's given me an insight into the real world in terms of prepping and organising a big event."

Karen Spencer, college principal, said: "We want to thank the Gibberd Gallery for providing our students with the opportunity to showcase their creative work at Reflect 2015.

"As a college we really believe in giving students opportunities that stretch and challenge them - exhibiting in a professional gallery is a fantastic experience and I was blown away with the quality of their work."

Star students at Harlow College enjoyed the red carpet treatment at their very own Oscars to round-off a successful year.

Graduates from media, journalism, photography and animation were celebrated and awarded for their stunning projects at a glitzy ceremony at Harlow's Cineworld last week.

Prizes including: best actor and acress, best animation, best documentary and best graphic designer were dished out at the awards presented by second year media student Donald Matanga.

Assistant Academy Manager, Delta Muntean said: "The students collaborated with other departments, in particular music, where they had their music videos filmed. It gave them a real opportunity to be in the limelight and get some publicity.

The Oscars is an opportunity to showcase student's work and also a chance for them to see it on the big screen."
