I have worked in adult education for over 21 years; 13 years of that were as an ETB educator mainly in the areas of literacy and English as a second language. I am also involved with the National Adult Literacy Agency. Literacy and removing barriers for learners so we all have an equal chance are very important to me.

My name is Blánaid Adamson and I'm a tutor in Health Related Fitness L3 & 4 in Athlone Community Training Centre. Our learners are diverse so no two days are ever the same. I also facilitate community groups in a range of exercise classes in Mullingar. I want to do  this course to so i'll be more able to deal with the many different literacy issues I come upon daily. My name is James Reilly and although we have all met on line in the comfort of our homes / offices. I am looking forward to meeting you all in Athlone and spending a school day together. I am a carpenter and I work as a woodwork tutor in Mullingar and Longford since January 2022. I enjoy working with my groups (mostly retired people) hearing their stories and figuring out the best ways I can deliver the course on a particular day, that includes everybody. So this course is wonderful for becoming more aware of class room dynamics and helping me understand every individuals needs. Through Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Cultural needs.
Every day is a school day!
