For example a frog can live in or out of water while humans can't. A comparison between the frog and human is that the digestive system works just the same in both human and frog. The comparison of a human and horse is that we stand upright and horses stand prone on their four legs or limbs. A difference is the muscles which comes from the different diets of these organisms. Mechanical digestion in humans occurs in the mouth; mechanical digestion in a worm occurs in the gizzard. something in place. Humans use their teeth for all functions. Instead of a small intestine it's called a small colon in a horse. Just as humans food is broken down and then goes through the small intestine. Surprisingly a worm and humans digestive system is pretty similar. Which means the same function goes on in both.
