As a child, Heinrich ran bare foot on the warm sand in Germany. In Chicago, Heinrich ran wearing Nikes on the Chicago pavement with other 261 men and women to race with. The different memories are intertwined in Heinrich's mind because he still had the same antelope. According to the text it states "I first ran barefoot as a child on the warm sand of a lonely wooded road in Germany, where I smelled the pines, heard wood pigeons." This evidence shows that when Heinrich ran he was alone. His scenery was relaxing to run in. The text also states, "I raced a 100-kilometer distance in Chicago with 261 men and women...Human existence that relates to our kinship with animals." This evidence shows that when he ran in Chicago the scenery was really loud and he raced with other people. This also shows that afterwards he realized the relationship between animals and humans. So, Heinrich still kept the same antelope with him. This also shows that afterwards he realized the relationship between animals and humans. Therefore, this compares how Heinrich's running experiences are different and similar.

As a child, Heinrich ran bare foot on the warm sand of a lonely wooded road in Germany. In Chicago, Heinrich ran wearing Nikes on the Chicago pavement /asphalt pavement with 261 other men and women. According to the text, "I will never forget when I first ran barefoot as a child on the warm sand of a lonely wooded road in Germany, where I smelled the pines, heard wood pigeons coo, and saw bright green tiger beetles running or flying ahead of me. This evidence shows that he as a little child, when he was running in the warm sand, he felt relaxed and felt like he was apart of nature, even though he was alone, he felt like he had freedom. The text also states," I will never, never forget running on asphalt pavement on October 4, 1981,.. On that day I raced a 100-kilometer distance in Chicago with 261 other men and women..like me chasing a dream antelope... thes memories were interwined in my mind with the larger scheme of human existence that relates to our kinship with animals" This evidence demonstrates that he recongnizes that humans have a very good relationship with the nature and running. Overall, this is the differences and the similarites between Heinriche's childhood and race in Chicago.

In Chicago, in the 50 kilometer race, Heinrich ran in his sneakers with the most famous runner. These completely different memories are intertwined in the mind of Heinrich, because he has become different. He became very fast and even made it to the competition in Chicago. Thanks to his large foot size, he won the most famous runner on the planet to run 100 kilometers in competition.
