Big Brothers Big Sisters is a nationwide program that serves at-risk and low-performing students with a focus on under performing schools. For many guardians who live near or below the poverty line, education is especially of critical importance however a variety of social, economic and political factors hinder the ability for students to have equitable education. This Program can help to supplement a lack of proper support at an institutional level through the use of mentors that provide one-on-one tutoring, homework support, out of class extended learning and work on bridging individual students skill gaps.
