It creates a plan, follows a process and thinks of a positive plan to help others. 
Service Learning begins with an investigation think and act like a detective. Discover ways to meet the needs of the community. 
The second step in service learning is to prepare to create a plan on how you are going to address the needs of the community. Lists the resources that they may needed to achieve a goal. 
Reflection is the next step into this process is when people take a step back into to analyze if the plan is working and find areas of improvement. 
Demonstration is the last step is when people shared what they have accomplished to help the community. 
There are different types of service learning: 
Direct Service is when people work directly with or for people, animals or the environment. 
Indirect Service is when people take action into an issue without being seen who you help or when people advocate for a cause.

Inspire students to create a podcast to share with the school about the importance of recycling.
6. Study the art and culture of an impoverished nation or one that is in crisis.
Students can create pieces of artwork and sell them to raise money to help people in need.
7. Start a gardening project with a younger classroom.
