We first see her dressing in colourful clothes that look cheap and overly expressionate. She thinks she looks glamorous but when she sees herself in the mirror she smashes in not wanting to accept what she really looks like. A metaphor for her not wanting accept the reality of her situation. She later in a desperate attempt to find solace, calls Shep Huntley to reassure herself his invitation is real, he never picks up. We also see her hunching up and covering her ears while Stanley berates her.
