         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Great Purge was a campaign of terror lead by Stalin where he wanted to eliminate anyone who threatened his power and authority during the years 1937-1938. The Five Year Plans were Several plans by Stalin to develop the Soviet Union’s economy through a command economy in which the government makes all the economic decisions. They planned to industrialize USSR faster by setting impossibly high quotas and goals for steel, coal, oil and production of other goods. They also limited production of consumer goods resulted in shortages of housing, food, and clothing.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
