Harry is an 18 year old male footballer who comfortably plays in the centre back position for NCC Havering in the AOC 2 Division. Harry is also very good at reading the game tactically and has openly taken a role coaching Romford Colts under twelves in which they are currently in the third place position. He has his level 1 coaching badge which will give him enough qualifications to be tactically confident enough to be able to win games comfortably. On multiple occasions Harry has played at a good standard and confidently but he has also played many occasions and he has not performed the best and has struggled to recover from these poor performances. As Harry has just turned eighteen years old we both believe that he has more time to grow to help him really fill out to become more of a capable centre back. Harry is a male and has no known disabilities that we are both aware of. Harry and I have come to the conclusion that he has a fitness level just below average. He has confirmed with me that he has no health or medical issues currently or pre-existing which would not affect his performance on or off of the pitch. Harry has high expectations of himself as he aspires to become a professional football coach in the right environment to help him improve as much as possible and to become as successful as possible. This could either be working 1 to 1 with players or in a whole team setting. Harry works hard and is well motivated to help him achieve this goals as he tries to get as much experience as possible through different possibilities.

A coach can be affected by a risk assessment because they need to know if the players, coaches and spectators will be safe during a training session. This usually includes checking and identifying potential hazards this becomes your responsibility and you need to be aware of the dangers. These are important for a coach because they are responsible for everyone attending the sessions , so they must assess the playing area before every session to deem if it is safe to play on for the protection of the players.

Normal operating procedures are standardized rules that are put into place in your work environment. For example this is important for a coach because they will have to follow the same set of rules within every session so that it runs successfully. This could be opening the facility up early to set up or giving the participants multiple breaks within the session.

Emergency operating procedures are important for a coach because it is a strict group of rules that the coach must follow in case of an emergency this may include what to do in different medical situations such as having a fully supplied first aid kit and fire extinguishers in multiple areas of the facility. These are normally addressed with regular practice drills so all staff members are aware of the procedures.
