Emerson College did a poll on the current Michigan Gubernatorial Race.

50% of the polled said they were voting for Whitmer and 44% said they were voting for Dixion. Due to this poll, Emerson College said that Whitmer is 5 points ahead.

Emerson College has predicted 76% of races correctly in the past.

The margin of error on this poll is +/- 4 percentage points, which is a good percentage since it is low.

They polled 580 people, a small amount but enough to get in all of the demographics of Michigan.

I'd give this poll an A-, it is from a reputable source and has a low margin for error but has a bit of a small number of people polled.

On top of their popularity, Whitmer is the current incumbent candidate with no opposition in her party. Although Michigan went red back in 2016 for Trump it has still remained a blue-leaning state giving Whitmer the upper hand yet again.
