January 5th - My Birthday!

On January 5th, I turned 13 years old which is so surprising to me of how fast I'm growing up. I invite my family and even some friends to enjoy my small birthday party. My parents decorate the house with balloons, presents, and food for all of us to enjoy. Almost every year my mom gets my favorite type of cake which is icecream cake. After cutting the cake it comes to the time of opening my gifts in front of everyone. I like to read all the birthday cards first wishing me a happy birthday and sending me lots of love. I thank everyone who has come to my birthday before and sent me something because it shows my appreciation and respect to my friends and family. I received a lot of gifts on that day and my favorite was a Robux gift card. I love my birthday as it is very fun and it's a very memorable day in a person's life.

April 29 - Santa Monica Book fair Yallwest

On April 29, my school held a field trip for students to go to for a book fair where you get to meet many of authors! You would have had to wake up at about 6 and be at the school around 7 or 8 to get on the bus in time. I went on this field trip with a couple of students and a person who I was familiar with. Yallwest is the largest YA and middle-grade bookfair in the country. On that day, it was chilly and people were cold for most of the day. A lot of walking took place in that event because there were only bookstands. California had decided to take a break from its sunshine and make it all cloudy and grey. All day there are panels, book signings, food trucks, killer photo ops, and the festival is free to anyone and open to the public.

November 15 - Band concert/reuniting with a friend

I won't forget this event because it's one of the ones I cherish since there's a friend who gets involved. On November 15th, I was invited to go to my school band concert not by the school itself but rather by an old friend. This old friend of mine whom I had not seen for 2 years at the time texted me saying that she had a brother who was in band and had a band concert. She started explaining that she was going and she wanted to meet up with me after 2 YEARS! We started making a time on when and where to meet up. The band concert started at 6 so we had to meet before so we could catch up on everything that has been going on in our lives. I then asked my parents for permission and they said yes so I felt so happy to reunite with her. I saw her when I entered the school, but she didn't see me at the time. I surprised her and she was so excited to see me. Things have changed over time since she got taller than me and she said that I look way different. It was a good day that I will cherish and maybe this will make people meet up with their long-time best friends they haven't seen in a long time.

December 13 - Went bowling with my family

On December 13, I went bowling with my family. Bowling is a sport that in which a player rolls or tosses a bowling ball toward a group of pins. Most people think of bowling as a fun indoor game that can be played with family or friends. This time when I went bowling it was more fun than usual because I got to experience what it was like getting better at it. At first, we had to go pick up my brother's girlfriend because she was coming along with us. Then we finally arrived at our destination so we had to pay for the parking ticket and find parking which was hard because it was crowded. My dad rented the shoes for all of us and got us some food that we could enjoy while competing with each other. The food was my favorite because they served pizza, wings, breadsticks, coke, and fries. Overall it went well because everyone got a turn to roll the bowling ball and it was all fun and games.

December 25 - Christmas!

On December 25, Christmas last year was filled with laughter and love which is something I enjoyed. Everyone got up bright and early to make tamales and drink hot chocolate when we were all still in our pj's. My sister and her boyfriend were going to join us for our gathering so we waited for them while everyone was so excited. They finally came and my parents just wanted to let my siblings and I know how much they love us. My dad doesn't celebrate holidays but he'll still support us and if we're happy then he's happy which is what matters. My favorite present that I got was a $25 Robux gift card, pro club sweats, and hygiene products.
