         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the 1980's the wildlife conservation groups harboring the last of the nearly extinct red wolves released them into  the Albemarle Peninsula in North Carolina the population rose to as many as 100–120 individuals in 2012, but has declined to 40 individuals in 2018.  The same groups that protected the wolf in the past are still working to protect the wolf in it's new habitat</div>]]></description>
