The story behind it is that I was either being too white to be hispanic and too hispanic to be white, being told I was too skinny or that I was gaining a lot of weight. The reason I chose Puerto Rico as my topic is that I want to show people that it was hard for me to change and get used to life from New York. I chose Admiration of Mexican Culture  as my topic because I think that it represents me. Also it is like memories of my family and of the country that I grew up in. Some of the traditions of Mexico are "The day of the death" and we make an altar to wait for our dead family. Then I represent it in my artwork and also I contrasted it with American Culture by the Halloween pumpkins.
